TUESDAY 3-2 +2.43 UNITS

To bad Florida could come thru for all of us yesteday and they could score in the last six minutes!!! Here are early selections and more to follow!!!

7 Units Western Michigan -13.5 -103

The best team in the MAC West (Western Michigan) against the worst team. Look at it another way: Western is 8-1 SU/6-2 ATS against the MAC, while Central Michigan is 0-9 SU/1-8 ATS in conference! The Western Michigan Broncos (15-2 SU, 11-4 ATS) play great defense (42% shooting allowed) and are 6-2 SU/5-2 ATS on the road. They have a veteran frontcourt of 6’-7” senior center Anthony Kann (11 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-8” senior Mike Williams (19 ppg, 56% FGs, 7 rpg), while 6’-3” sophomore Ben Reed (19 ppg, 54% FGs, 4 rpg) is a sparkplug who runs the backcourt. They have great balance at both ends of the court and Western has won 14 of its last 15 games! They will tear up a short Central Michigan team that allows 48% shooting and surrenders 79 ppg. Central is 2-5 SU at home where they have yet to cover a game (0-6 ATS at home).

5 Units Dayton -3.5 -108

The season's second meeting for these two following a 55-50 Dayton win two weeks ago. Richmond (R: 5-4 SU, 6-3 ATS) has rebounded from a three game A-10 losing streak by winning four straight. Saturday, they were led by Jermaine Bucknor, who scored a career-high 17 points to lead them to a 72-65 win over George Washington. Bucknor also had a career-high eight rebounds and Mike Skrocki added 13 points for the Spiders. Reggie Brown scored 12 and Tony Dobbins had 11 and 10 rebounds. Ramod Marshall scored 21 points and made an off-balance 10-foot jumper in the final minute, leading Dayton to a 74-67 win over Xavier on Saturday. Keith Waleskowski added 17 points and nine rebounds and Sean Finn scored 15 points for the Flyers. Dayton (17-3, 7-0 Atlantic 10) moved five games ahead of the Musketeers (10-9, 2-5) in the A-10 West while snapping a five-game home losing streak against Xavier. Dayton won this first meeting on the road, this time around expect another close game but the same result as Dayton (H: 11-1 SU, 3-5 ATS) at home is running a four game winning streak and outscores opponents at home by an average 70-64 margin.

5 Units Wright State -8 -108

Horizon League battle where the visitors have no shot. Loyola is 3-7 on the road, giving up 77 ppg, and just 3-7 in the Horizon League (second worst). Wright State is 8-2 in the Horizon, just behind Milwaukee for first place. The Loyola-Chicago Ramblers (7-13 SU, 5-11 ATS) have some good scorers up front with 6’-6”, 240-lb senior Paul McMillen (17 ppg, 7 rpg), center Demetrius Williams (11 ppg, 51% FGs) and 6’-7” Blake Schilb (10 ppg). However, they are a lazy defensive team, allowing 46% shooting. Loyola is 1-8 straight up and 2-6-1 ATS the last nine games. Wright State (11-9 SU, 12-6 ATS) is 5-4 SU/5-2 ATS at home, shooting 44% as a team behind 6’-8” senior forward Seth Doliboa (17 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-2” senior guard Vernard Hollins (14 ppg, 4 apg), while three freshmen -- forward Alex Kock, 6'-6" Andrew Burleson and 6’-6” Vova Severovas -- have been stepping up and contributing. This is also the third straight home game for Wright State!!!

5 Units Bowling Green +7.5 -108

MAC game and home/road says a lot about this game. The Bowling Green Falcons (9-10) are just 1-7 SU/2-4 ATS on the road where they allow 76 ppg. 6’-6” junior John Reimold (15 ppg), 6’-10” senior center Kevin Netter (13 ppg, 5 rebounds per game) and 6’-4” sophomore Ron Lewis (17 ppg) lead this strong offense, though they are short on 'D'. Miami of Ohio (10-6 SU, 8-5 ATS) is very strong at home (6-3 SU/4-3 ATS) where they outscore opponents by a 63-59 average. They are not a strong offensive team, shooting 40% from the field, but the Miami of Ohio Redhawks play good defense behind 6’-5” senior Julius Johnson (15 points per game), 6’-2” senior Chester Mason (10 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-5” junior Danny Horace (9 ppg, 5.5 rpg). Miami is riding a 6-1 SU/ATS run after beating Marshall, 51-48 on the road as Johnson had 17 points, 8 rebounds. They are one game in the loss column behind Kent for first place in the MAC East. A year ago, BG won 51-48 at home but Miami has home court this time and gets the win in a low scoring battle.

7 Units South Carolina -8 -102

Alabama has been struggling without their best player, Earnest Shelton (16 ppg, 2 apg), who is out for the season. Now Alabama (11-7 SU, 9-6 ATS) has to play at South Carolina (18-3 SU, 9-6 ATS). South Carolina is coming off one of their very few poor performances against Ole Miss, losing 79-68 SU. They now return Home where they are an impressive 11-1 SU. We are sure that a few expletives will be used by the Gamecock coaching staff to get the team back in the right frame of mind. Alabama may be in trouble since they are 2-4 SU on the Road this season and will face a defense that only allows 55 points a game at Home. South Carolina’s Carlos Powell has been huge for the Gamecocks so far (14 ppg, 7 rpg) and he will be tough to match at Home.

Good luck tonight my friend's,

5 Units Northern Iowa +10 -102

Good matchup in the Missouri Valley Conference. You need to have a big frontcourt if you want to hang with mighty Creighton, and the Northern Iowa Panthers (11-7 SU, 10-6 ATS) do with 6’-6” senior C David Gruber (12 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-7”, 240-lb senior Matt Schneiderman (11 ppg, 7.6 rpg). They also have a strong backcourt led by three-point specialist 6’-3” sophomore Ben Jacobson (13 ppg). Northern Iowa is 2-4 SU on the road (though 5-1 ATS) and riding a two-game losing streak, losing 68-60 to Illinois State as a 7-point home favorite and getting shut down, 63-53 at Southern Illinois. Creighton plays tough 'D' like Southern Illionis, so it may be tough for No-Iowa to break their losing streak. Creighton is 16-2 overall and 10-0 SU/4-4 ATS at home where they outscore foes by a 74-56 average. Creighton shoots 47% as a team led by 6’-8” senior forward Brody Deren (11 points/6 rebounds per game, 54% FGs), 6’-10” senior Joe Dabbert (5 rpg), and 6’-7” senior Mike Grimes (9 ppg). 6'-3" sophomore Nate Funk stepped up the last game with 21 points in Creighton's 74-70 win over Evansville.

5 Units Wichita State -1.5 -106

The visitors have the edges this game. The Wichita State Shockers (13-7 SU, 11-5 ATS) are strong on the road and do a lot of things well. Wichita State is 6-3 SU/6-2 ATS on the road where they allow just 64 ppg while scoring 71 ppg. Wichita shoots 46% from the field while holding opponents to 39% shooting, led by junior guard Randy Burns, junior 6’-5” Jamar Howard (14 ppg, 6 rpg) and a huge frontcourt of 6’-8” junior Rob Kampman (9 ppg, 5 rpg) and 6’-10”, 250-lb sophomore C Paul Miller (6 rpg). The Illinois State Redbirds (6-12 SU, 7-8 ATS) are just 2-8 in the MVC, and have a young team led by 6’-8” sophomore Marcus Arnold (14 ppg, 5 rpg) and junior guard Trey Guidry (14 ppg). Illinois State is 5-4 SU/3-4 ATS at home and they allow 45% shooting.

5 Units Arkansas State -4 +101

Sun Belt battle and the difference will be home court. New Orleans shoots just 42% as a team and gets outscored by a 72-65 average on the road. New Orleans (10-10) is just 5-8 SU on the road (though 9-4 ATS), and opponents are shooting 44%. New Orleans is a guard-oriented team behind shooting guard Kyle Buggs (11 ppg, 37% FGs) and 6'-2" senior Johnell Smith (14 ppg, 38% FGs, 31% 3-pt land). New Orleans is also shooting 65% from the line. Arkansas State (12-7) is 8-4 at home where they average 77 ppg, so it's going to be tough for New Orleans to keep pace. Arkansas State has a lot of scoring depth with 6’-8” senior Kim Adams (9.7 rebounds per game), 6'-5” junior JJ Montgomery (19 ppg) and 6’-4” junior Dewarick Spencer (17.8 ppg), who also leads the team in assists. This is the third straight road game for New Orleans, and the fourth straight home game for Arkansas State!!!

Good luck tonight my friend's
